By : Bollywood Bus
Following an ongoing scandal over two contentious advertisements
that were said to have included images of child sexual abuse and pornography, Balenciaga is taking action.
The Kering-owned luxury brand announced on Friday that it is dropping a $25 million
lawsuit it had filed against the production company and set designer involved in its Garde-Robe advertising campaign,
which included a printout of a Supreme Court decision stating
that the promotion of child
pornography is not protected by free speech rights. Separately,
creative director Demna expressed regret over the company's Gift Shop ad
that featured teddy bears held captive by young children.
