2022 Billboard Latin Music Awards: Red Carpet Best Looks
The annual awards ceremony in Miami began on Thursday (September 29) with Latin celebrities dancing on the red carpet before entering the Watsco Center.
The 29th Annual Billboard Latin Music Awards are being broadcast live on Telemundo,
As well as on the Spanish-language cable network Universo and Telemundo International throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.
Bad Bunny was nominated for Artist of the Year, Tour of the Year, Male Artist of the Year for Hot Latin Songs, and Top Latin Album of the Year for their number-one album Un Verano Sin Ti.
Which spent 11 weeks at the top. Listed on Billboard 200 in all genres. (It's number 2 at the moment.)
Bad Bunny is followed by Colombian superstar Karol G, who received the most nominations for a female artist with a record 15 submissions in 11 categories.
The categories in which Karol G has been nominated include Artist of the Year, Female Hot Latin Song Artist of the Year, and Hot Latin Song of the Year, Vocal Program, for her Becky G collaboration "MAMII".
(The previous record was shared by Jenny Rivera and Shakira, both of whom received 12 nominations in 2014 and 2018, respectively.)
This year, awards will be given in 58 categories across Latin Pop, Tropical, Latin Rhythm and Regional Mexican Music Genres.
It is the only awards show to honor the most popular albums, songs and artists in Latin music, as determined by Billboard's weekly charts.
